A WARM, and dry, weekend is in store if the forecast is to be believed.

With plenty going on around Furness today and tomorrow, the Met Office's latest prediction will be music to the ears of many.

Temperatures on both days could hit highs of 19°C, with lows of 12°C.

The forecast says: "There will be a cloudy start for some, however prolonged sunny periods will develop during the morning and persist throughout the day.
"With light winds it will feel very warm and rather humid in the sunshine.

"It's going to remain dry and clear throughout the night with light winds. It will also be very mild and feel quite muggy."

"Sunday will be another fine day with long sunny intervals. With light winds it will once again feel very warm or hot and rather humid."

With it being National Picnic Week, take advantage of the sunshine and head to some of Cumbria's finest spots, with our suggestions here.
