A WARRANT for arrest has been issued for a suspected Barrow booze thief after they failed to appear in court.

Miguel Antonio Bossio, 37, of no fixed address, was meant to attend Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow on Wednesday August 16.

The defendant was charged with theft after he stole two bottles of Hardy's wine, to the value of £13.58, from Batty's Off Licence in Rawlinson Street on June 20.
