A 'COLOUR Splash' hit Barrow Park in all its glory as runners competed in a charity fun run with a difference.
Around 80 men, women and children took to the Abbey Road venue on Saturday to complete two laps of the park while getting covered in powdered paint.

The fun event produced some hilarious scenes as the community rallied to raise funds for various causes such as the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK.

11-year-old Walney School pupil Brogan Jones was the third runner home and enjoyed her first ever Colour Splash.
She said: "It was really good but I struggled near the end.
"I loved all the different colours getting thrown."
Six paint throwing areas were set up around Barrow Park with volunteers chucking the powder over the runners as they went past.
Each stall was sponsored and Anna Tranter and Nicola Higginson, from Liberata, enjoyed the task of giving runners a purple coating today.
Mrs Tranter said: "It's a good laugh, more people should do it."

The Colour Splash is a two-day event and runners can take part today too.
People who want to enter are asked to arrive at Barrow Park, near the bandstand, from around 12.30pm to register and pay the £5 donation.
The event is part of a family fun weekend at the park, with kites, games, stalls and face painting from noon until 6pm.
