BOSSES at Animal Welfare Furness have made a plea for volunteers to help look after rescue dogs and cats.
The charity, which has shops in Barrow's Dalton Road and in Upper Brook Street in Ulverston, is looking for volunteers to help out in the cattery and to train as dog rehoming officers.
Volunteers are also being sought to help foster rescue animals.
Anyone who is interested in volunteering is asked to call into one of the charity's two shops for more information.
