FOUR Barrow men arrested on suspicion of offences under the Modern Slavery Act have been bailed until later this month.

Cumbria Police have confirmed that the men, aged between 30 and 70 years old, have been bailed until a date later this month.

They are all from Barrow.

A spokesman from Cumbria Police said: "Police received a report of assault from the alleged victim, a 68-year-old female, on March 31.

"She is being supported by trained officers.

"Offences of this nature are a rare occurrence and we can reassure the public that they are being investigated diligently and professionally by a dedicated team in Barrow CID."
