TWO people have been charged with child neglect in Barrow.
Zoe Brady, 39, and James Wealleans, 30, of Victoria Road, Barrow, appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
They both pleaded not guilty to one count of child neglect on March 19 in Barrow. It is alleged that they willfully assaulted, ill treated, neglected, abandoned or exposed the child in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to health.
Brady was represented in court by Miss Karen Templeton and Wealleans was represented by Mr Trystan Roberts.
The case was adjourned until July 15 for a trial at the Abbey Road court. Both were given conditional bail until that date.
