Here is a breakdown of the traffic and travel updates for this evening:
Roads
There are currently no major incidents reported in the south of the county.
However, there is disruption reported in the Ambleside area. Under Loughrigg is closed between Clappersgate junction and Rydal junction due to emergency repairs.
There is also disruption in Staveley. Main Street (Gowan Old Bridge) is closed between the Gowan Terrace junction and the Back Lane junction due to emergency repairs.
Rail
There are no further disruptions reported so far today
Delays between Carlisle and Leeds are expected to last until the end of the month following a landslip near Appleby. Repairs are underway to stabilise the tracks.
Services will start/terminate at Appleby. Some bus services are running between Carlisle and Appleby, which will extend journey times by around 60 minutes.
Ongoing roadworks
A590 Greenodd: Lane one of the eastbound carriageway just west of Greenodd roundabout is currently closed until further notice while a survey of the embankment takes place.
M6 Junction 34 Lancaster: Lancashire County Council work off the motorway on the Heysham Link project requires a lane one and hard shoulder closure in both directions on the motorway around junction 34.
