A MOUNTAIN rescue team were called out yesterday afternoon in a rescue operation lasting over three hours.
Volunteers of Patterdale MRT were called out by the North West Ambulance Service to help evacuate a woman with a suspected fractured ankle.
The woman was on St Raven's Edge above Kirkstone Pass.
She had been out walking with her partner and was treated at the scene by the team doctor.
Her leg was splinted and she was stretched down to the waiting ambulance.
Seven volunteers were called out to the rescue.
