THE grand opening of a Barrow pub that had a six-figure face lift was a roaring success.
The Strawberry in Abbey Road re-opened to the public on Friday September 16 after almost two weeks of renovation work which cost more than £100,000.
Coinciding with the pub's 150th birthday, deputy mayor Councillor Tony Callister cut the ribbon and welcomed in the masses in for a pint some live jazz music.
