A SPONSORED relay walk is taking place to help save a struggling rural bus service.
The event, which is being held by Friends of the X112 hopes to raise money for the service ran by Blueworks Taxis.
Last year's event raised £2,500 and attracted walkers of all ages.
The X112 service runs from Barrow to Coniston via villages including Rampside, Baycliff, Greenodd and Torver.
Walkers can complete the full route from Barrow to Sparkbridge or complete one of the three stages.
The walk will take place on Saturday, August 5.
If you would like to take part, contact Roger Harris on 01229 835712 or email roger@rdhwc.plus.com.
