SPECULATION is mounting over suggestion a new tenant is set to move into an empty store in Barrow town centre.
A logistics firm has delivered a series of storage containers to the former Bargain Book Time in Portland Walk, opposite Debenhams. The empty premises, Unit 24 Portland Walk, had been marketed by Peill & Co with an advertised annual rent of £40,000.
The shop is described as a well-located prime unit close to the entrance to Debenhams department store, with other occupiers in the immediate vicinity including Bodyshop, Top Shop, WH Smith, River Island, New Look, Boots, Waterstones, Goldsmiths and close to the indoor and outdoor markets.
The Evening Mail has approached representatives from Peill & Co.
