TOMORROW morning the nervous wait comes to an end for students across South Cumbria who will be finding out their all important A-Level results.

Eighteen-year-olds will be returning to their schools and colleges to discover their grades and hopefully celebrate with their friends and teachers.

Good grades will secure university places and apprenticeship opportunities for the teenagers.

One of those wanting to get his hands on his results envelope is Will Adams.

The Barrow Sixth Form College student plans to read business studies at his first choice offer, Lancaster University.

Will will pick up A-Levels is business studies, media and politics. He needs two As and a B to get onto the degree course.

The Dalton teenager said: "I'm not as stressed or as worried as I thought I would be about results day. I have seen people who are all over the spot, but for me it's been like - my results are in three months, I did my best and can't change anything now."

"My time at Barrow Sixth Form College has been fab. Coming to sixth form from school gave me a new lease of life because you become more independent. I have become a more rounded person and more confident at sixth form."

Will was the first deputy member of the UK Youth Parliament to represent Barrow. He is also a former chairperson of Furness Youth Council.

He has passed over the reins of his deputy UK Youth Parliament role to Barrow teenager Bethany Thornton and this summer he has been getting involved in local politics through the Liberal Democrats.

He said: "I would like to go into some sort of politics or activism. "Something that will help to make positive change."

Barrow Sixth Form is putting on a breakfast barbecue for the students

Will said: "Len's cooking is great so I'm looking forward to that."
