PEOPLE travelling back to the Furness area faced lengthy delays this evening.
Trains from the south were delayed by up to an hour and a half due to a signalling problem between Wigan North Western and Warrington Bank Quay.
#VTNEW Due to a fault with the signalling system between Wigan NW and Warrington BQ, trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines.

The delay also caused further disruption to people travelling back to the Furness area, as the late service caused them to miss their connection from Lancaster.
Stuck for an hour at Lancaster station because the @VirginTrains from London is late... 😡

All lines have now reopened.
This was the latest of a string of delays to affect Furness passengers over the past two weeks.
