MAGISTRATES in Barrow are due to hear a total of seven cases relating to motorists accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs during one court session.

One man from Barrow, one man from Millom, a woman from Ulverston, a man from Dalton and two men from Kendal will appear at Furness Magistrates' Court tomorrow charged with a variety of offences.

Lee Coe, 39, of Brighton Street in Barrow, has been charged with driving a Renault car in Stafford Street on May 31 of this year with a level of 4.4 microgrammes of a cannabinoid compound per litre of blood. The legal limit is two microgrammes.

Phillip Eland, 49, of Nelson Street in Millom, has been charged with driving a Volkswagen Beetle on the A590 in Barrow on August 3 of this year while disqualified, without insurance and with an alcohol level of 57 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Charlotte Victoria Marsh, 31, who has two addresses registered with the courts - Market Street in Dalton and Church Walk in Ulverston, has been charged with failing to give a specimen to police after being suspected of being under the influence of alcohol on July 2 in Ulverston. She has also been charged with driving a Vauxhall Astra on August 3 of this year with an alcohol level of 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Ryan Nield, 39, of Beck Nook in Staveley, has been charged with riding a Vespa moped in Kendal on August 5 of this year with an alcohol level of 80 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath.

Donatras Petraitis, 34, of Chapel Street in Dalton, has been charged with driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Cavendish Street in Barrow without a licence and with an alcohol level of 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Kyle John Maurice Telford, 29, of Lowther Park in Kendal, has been charged with driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Ireleth on August 6 of this year without insurance and with an alcohol level of 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
