CHANGES have been made to rail services on many Cumbrian lines this morning, causing more misery for commuters using Northern Rail.

The blighted service said the 5.15am train from Carlisle to Preston would no longer call at Corkickle, Bootle, Silecroft, Green Road, Foxfield, Kirkby, Askam, Roose, Dalton, Cark and Kents Bank due to signalling problems.

The 6.51am train from Barrow to Carlisle was not to call at Parton, Harrington, Workington, Flimby, Maryport, Aspatria, Wigton and Dalston.

Likewise, the 8.42am service from Carlisle to Barrow didn't stop at Dalston, Aspatria, Flimby, Harrington, Parton, Corkickle, Seascale, Drigg, Bootle, Silecroft, Green Road, Foxfield, Kirkby and Askam.
