SCHOOLS donned emerald outfits to celebrate St Patrick's Day.
Roose Primary School and Wagtails pre-school at North Walney Primary School marked Ireland's Feast of Saint Patrick on Friday.
Members of the Roose school community have Irish relatives or Irish ancestry so the school decided to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in style this year.
A storyteller visited school to tell traditional Irish stories and an Irish dancer led dance workshops based on River Dance.
Wagtails had combined a St Patrick Day's party with its third birthday party.
The school set up Wagtails in 2014, with only a handful of two-year-olds. Now it has grown to have 16 two-year-olds and 11 nursery children accessing wraparound.
Waigtails is run by Michelle Scott-McCullough and her team who work with the two and three-year-olds before they move on into the school nursery and then into school. In a recent survey parents, they said how much they value the team.
