HOUSEHOLD names of the pop music industry including S Club and Brian McFadden are set to perform at a festival in Barrow.

The Ultimate Pop Festival will take place at Craven Park in Barrow on Sunday August 27 of next year from 2pm until 9pm. Acts are set to include S Club, Brian McFadden and Kavana.

The event has been organised by The Ultimate 90s, run by Barrow singers and promoters Denis and Beth Horan.

S Club 7 was formed in 1998 and quickly rose to fame by starring in their own BBC television series, Miami 7. In their five years together, S Club 7 had four UK number-one singles, one UK number-one album, and a string of hits throughout Europe, including a top-ten single in the United States, Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Brian McFadden is an Irish singer-songwriter and TV presenter who rose to fame in 1998 as a member of the Irish boyband Westlife as one of the lead singers and frontman. When he resided in Australia, he was a judge on Australia's Got Talent. Following his departure from Westlife in 2004, McFadden released his debut solo album, Irish Son, which peaked within the top 5 on both the Danish and Irish Albums Charts, and produced his first two No. 1 solo singles "Real to Me" in four European countries[1] and also "Almost Here", a duet with his now ex-fiancée Delta Goodrem which gained a platinum accreditation in Australia.

Kavana is a British singer and actor who scored a number of hit singles in the late 1990s. In 2014, he became part of the supergroup 5th Story, who took part in the second 9 series of The Big Reunion. In 2015, he took part in the fifteenth series of the Channel 5 reality series Celebrity Big Brother.
