POLICE have warned residents after a man was seen knocking on doors claiming to be from a chemist delivering medicine.

The man was seen on Devon Street, Barrow, at around 2.30pm on July 13.

He is described as white, with thinning grey hair, average height and slim build and clean shaven.

Police have warned residents to always ask for ID of people knocking on doors, and to use a chain or keyhole before opening.

Anyone who saw the man is urged to call Cumbria police on 101.
