POLICE temporarily closed a Barrow road this afternoon after it was feared that an unexploded ordnance bomb had been found by BAE Systems.
Cops tweeted at 12:46 that Cornmill Crossing was going to be closed while checks were carried out, with the retail park remaining open.
However, despite the bomb scare Barrow Police tweeted at 1:57pm that the road had now been reopened.
