CUMBRIA police have received multiple calls reporting that youths are exchanging counterfeit notes.
Police said reports have been received from the Windermere area that two youths aged 12 were exchanging counterfeit Scottish £20 notes.
The police want to make the public and businesses aware they may still be active in the Cumbria area.
Enquiries are still ongoing in relation to the identity of the youths.
Anyone with information are asked to contact Cumbria Police, quoting log number 105 of April 26. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
