Police are investigating a Barrow street robbery where the victim was punched in the face.
Barrow CID said the street robbery happened close to Little Subs play centre, on the corner of Abbey Road and Rawlinson Street at around 3pm yesterday (Saturday).
Police said the victim, a 34-year-old man, was approached by an unknown man who has punched him to the face and stolen a jacket that he was carrying.
DS Mike Wallace, of South Cumbria CID, said the victim sustained a minor injury.
The suspect has been described as white, 5’10’’, with short brown hair, slim to medium build and with local accent.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed a confrontation between two males are asked to make contact with the officer in the case, DC Katie Brew in Barrow CID on 101.
