POLICE are investigating after a man allegedly walked over the top of a car in Barrow shortly after midnight on Friday.

The man, who is described as white, aged around 20 years old with short dark hair, is alleged to have stood in the middle of the road, forcing a car to stop, before walking over the top of it, causing more than £100 worth of damage.

The incident happened at 12.10am of the morning of Saturday June 17 at the junction of Dalkeith Street and Cavendish Street.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Cumbria police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Surely this individual should be picked up on CCTV in the Area? The Council spent thousands of of tax payers pounds putting modern camera's up round the town to provide protection; or is it actually true that there is no one employed to operate and monitor these camera's in town due to Tory cuts in Police Budgets?
