Police hunt for thieves who stole £5,000 worth of scaffolding in Barrow

POLICE have launched an appeal to find a group of people who stole various sizes of scaffolding tubes from a block flats in Brig Street, Barrow.

The tubes, believed to be worth a total of £5,000, had been left outside on the corner of the road where Brig Street meets Steamer Street.

Flats in this area are being renovated as part of a multi-million pound project.

Police believe the tubes were taken between 17:00 on Friday July 15 and 09:00 on Monday July 18.

Anybody with information should contact PC Lennox at Barrow Police station on 101 quoting log number 85 of July 18.
