Police appealing for witnesses after Mini Cooper collision in Barrow street
A MAN has been arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of road traffic collision which left a Mini Cooper overturned in a Barrow street.
Officers were deployed at around 8.30am on Sunday, September 24 after receiving reports of a road traffic collision in The Strand, Barrow.
The vehicle had been travelling in the direction of Salt House Road when it hit a bus stop and some railings near Morrisons.
The male driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and driving while under the influence.
Police are appealing for witnesses who saw both the incident, and the manner of driving leading up to it.
