A Barrow teenager has been charged with dangerous driving over an alleged hit and run incident.
A collision between an orange Ford B-Max and a black Audi A3 happened at the junction of Rawlinson Street and Abbey Road Wednesday morning, shortly before 10.30am.
The Ford was left on its side after colliding with the railings next to the Duke of Edinburgh but miraculously the female driver managed to climb out with minor injuries.
The black Audi was understood to have been travelling from Holker Street to Rawlinson Street and collided with the B-Max which was travelling down Abbey Road towards Barrow town centre.
A 17-year-old male from Barrow has been charged with dangerous driving.
A date for a court hearing is yet to be confirmed.
