POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault of a teenager in Barrow town centre.
Barrow police are investigating after receiving a report of a group of young teenagers being assaulted by a pair of older teenagers on Fell Street, Barrow, behind McDonald's yesterday, at around 8.10pm.
Police said a 15-year-old girl had a facial injuries and was alleged to have been knocked unconscious.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses, particularly two members of the public who intervened.
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Mottram at Barrow police on 101.
*A 16-year-old girl was arrested and bailed in connection with the alleged incident.
