THE owners of a popular Barrow town centre fish and chip shop and takeaway have revealed the shop could soon reopen.
The Evening Mail revealed last week how customers of the Olympic takeaway at the corner of Buccleuch Street and Manchester Street in Barrow had suddenly closed down. It is understood that the tenants have vacated the premises because of personal reasons.

However, the owners of the building, the Nicolaides family, have revealed they plan to refurbish and reopen the popular eatery.
Andrew Nicolaides, who runs his own design and marketing company from Great Urswick, said the chippy had been set up by his father Savvas and his uncle, his mother's brother George Constantinou, in the 1960s.
Following retirement, a tenant took over the lease of the chippy and now the premises is vacant again, the Nicolaides family is considering what move to take next.
Mr Nicolaides said: "It will be a fish and chip shop again soon, hopefully within the next couple of months."
