The new funeral director's and chapel
A DERELICT car showroom and carpet shop is set to be given a new lease of life.
The former All Carpets and Sui Generis car showroom, on the corner of Dalkeith Street and High Street, has been left empty for a number of years.
A planning application has now been submitted to Barrow Borough Council by funeral director Little & Caine to convert the building which will include Dalkeith Chapel.
The plans state work will include remodelling the front of the building and filling in some of the windows to be replaced with cladding.
A decision is set to be made on the planning application by December 4.
