BRIGHT colours and blooming flowers are springing up thanks to a welcome improvement in the weather.

Spring flowers are blossoming across Furness and South Cumbria as the mercury slowly starts to rise and the sun begins to creep out from behind the clouds.

In Barrow, the green-fingered team at Continental Landscapes are responsible for the rainbow of colours filling Barrow Park and flowerbeds across the town with the greenhouse in the park filled with exotic flowers and plants.

Daffodils are brightening up the roadsides with hundreds of bulbs springing out from the soil along the A590 and throughout Barrow, Ulverston and beyond.
