STAFF at a Barrow animal shelter are hoping to rehome three cats looking for their forever homes.

BARNEY is a very pretty and very interesting little character.

He is still just a baby at only 18 weeks old and he is all over the place and very unsettled.

The tabby-and-white is very friendly but not above hissing and batting at your legs.

However, he is only young and in a confined space in the Animal Welfare cat shelter because, after being rehomed by his original owner, he kept going back to her. He would be best as the only cat in his new home because he is such a dominating character.

His carers in the shelter in Rawlinson Street, Barrow, are sure that once Barney was happy in his new home, he would calm down.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is the young ginger and white moggy, ZIMBA . He is very timid to the point of nervous.

He has already been rehomed once but has come back to the charity’s shelter because he is so scared.

You can pat him and he does not mind being approached as long as it is done slowly.

The charity is looking for a new forever home for Zimba where he will be given the time and patience to get to know his new family.

He needs to be allowed to relax and regain his confidence, although his first owner said he had always been timid, even as a kitten.

GIZMO is a beautiful brown and cream boy who came into care after his owner could no longer look after him.

The three-year-old came with his sister who has sinced been rehomed but, for some reason, this lovely friendly cat keeps getting overlooked.

He is in immaculate condition and is a gentle cat who would make a wonderful pet for any cat lover.

He is very distinctive looking, possibly because he has some Siamese in him as half of his colouring is brown and cream and then there are patches of tabby.
