POLICE and paramedics have attended Holker Street in Barrow after a woman was injured in a suspected road traffic collision.
The incident happened around 5.15pm this evening and it is thought a pedestrian was hit by a car at the junction of Chatsworth Steet and Holker Street.
An eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous saw paramedics working on the roadside to help the injured woman. They believed she was hit by a Citroen C3 car. They also said she was responsive to paramedics as they were treating her.
One eyewitness told the Evening Mail that they saw two police cars and an ambulance at the scene.
