Today, PM Theresa May is announcing a change in the law so that, in future, our Armed Forces would be distanced from certain articles of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The new law will mean our British soldiers are not held to the civilian laws of the EU Court of Human Rights, instead they will be tried by military authorities using the Laws of Armed Conflict. Do you agree with this?

In a report for the Daily Mail, veteran COLONEL RICHARD KEMP, referred to the new laws as a victory, saying: "This spells an end to malicious, disruptive legal investigations into the behaviour of British troops on the battlefield."

He and the new Prime Minister, who is the granddaughter of an infantry regimental sergeant major, hope that it will put an end to the drawn out trials of soldiers who have been forced to make near impossible decisions while serving their country.
