STARGAZERS in Cumbria could be treated to a visual spectacular tonight.
The Northern Lights, known scientifically as Aurora Borealis, are likely to be visible by eye from Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland tonight according to Aurora Watch.

They issued an amber alert for aurora which usually requires clear, dark skies away from light pollution in order to be seen.
