MOTORISTS can now have a sneak-preview of the area's roads before setting off, thanks to new technology installed by Cumbria County Council.
A set of weather stations have been scattered across the county fitted with roadside cameras allowing drivers to see the conditions they will face, before leaving the house.
As well as seeing a live image, motorists can also check a range of other factors including temperature, visibility and surface state.
Stations include the A595 at Bootle and Soutergate, the A591 Kendal, A592 Kirkstone Pass and A593 Torver.
