MYSTERY surrounds the sudden closure of a popular Barrow town centre restaurant and takeaway.
Signs have been put up in the windows of the Mitalee Indian restaurant, formerly called the Mithali, at the bottom of Dalton Road in Barrow. The sign states that the restaurant will be closed until further notice.
The Evening Mail has made several attempts to contact staff at the restaurant, which is the only sit-in Indian venue in Barrow.

The restaurant, owned by Evan Ahmed, has been a popular eatery in Barrow for more than 20 years.
