A MAJOR route through Barrow was affected by slow-moving traffic while police escorted a large lorry from the docks to Lindal.
The movement was due to begin at 9.30am today from Ramsden Dock Road, along Park Road and the A590 before reaching Lindal. The low loader is carrying wind turbine components for the replacement of Harlock Hill windfarm.
Motorists were warned to expect delays until approximately 12.30pm.
