Motorists warned to expect disruption as rudder and jig transported to Barrow shipyard
MOTORISTS have been warned to expect traffic delays as a section of a submarine is moved on the roads in Barrow.
A large steel jig will be transported from Barrow Docks via Dock Road, Michaelson Road and Bridge Road at around 9.15am today. Tomorrow, at the same time, part of the rudder for boat 4, Audacious, will be transported.
Police roadblocks will be in place on Dock Road, Michaelson Road and Bridge Road for around 20 minutes.
On Thursday, a heavy load will be moved at the same time from the Central Yard to the Devonshire Dock Hall via Bridge Road.
