A MOTORCYCLIST was flown to hospital with serious injuries after hitting a parked car in Barrow.
Police were called to Roose Road close to the junction with Piel View Grove at around 12.37pm on Tuesday after an accident involving a motorbike and a parked red Vauxhall Meriva.
The A5087 Roose Road was closed while emergency services attended the scene. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but not thought to be life-threatening.
An air ambulance was requested to attend the scene by police and the motorcyclist was flown to Royal Preston Hospital where his injuries have been described as serious but not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was reopened at around 2.17pm.
