Millom man accused of wine thefts due in court

A MILLOM man accused of shoplifting wine is due in court.

John Darby, 53, is set to appear at Furness and District Magistrates' Court tomorrow to face two charges of stealing wine.

Darby, of Newton Street, is charged with two counts of stealing Arniston Bay Cabernet Sauvignon wine, to the value of £4.99, from The Co-op, in Lapstone Road, Millom.

The first charge related Friday April 14 and the second to Saturday April 15.
