A CHEF has revealed her vision to open a Mexican restaurant and bar in Barrow town centre.
Soodsawat Rigg, of Schneider Road in Barrow, has submitted a planning application to Barrow Borough Council to open a Mexican restaurant and bar in a former clothes shop in Cavendish Street.
Mrs Rigg, who with her husband John also owns nearby noodle bar Canoodles on Cavendish Street and the Buddha Lounge Bar on Duke Street, hopes to open the restaurant at the premises previously occupied by Gees.

Gees closed at the end of May last year with the loss of four jobs as a result of falling sales.
The store was run by Amanda Grasson, who owns two other Gees stores in Kendal and Bowness, which remained open.
Mrs Rigg's application states the new restaurant will employ seven full-time staff and will open between the hours of 11am and 3am seven days a week.
Barrow Borough Council hopes to make a decision on the plans by May 22.
