A MAN charged with a string of offences, including an alleged hit and run in Ulverston has appeared in court.
John Edward Burns, 30, appeared at Furness Magistrates' on August 1, charged with seven offences.
Burns, of Sycamore Road, Manchester was arrested after a four-day man hunt following the major incident in Ulverston which left a cyclist fighting for his life.
Burns is charged with robbery, using threatening behaviour, fraud by false representation, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, vehicle interference, common assault and aggravated vehicle taking but did not enter any pleas.
He is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 1 at 10am and has been remanded in custody until this date.
