A BARROW man has appeared in court and denied charges of assault against a woman and a police officer.
Jamie Edward Lloyd Bell, appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow today (Saturday) accused of four offences.
Bell, 41, has been charged with the assault by beating of Nicola Stevens on April 10 and April 11, assaulting PC Mallinson on April 11 and damaging a Toshiba satellite valued at £280 on April 10 or April 11. All the offences relate to Barrow.
The defendant, of Vulcan Road, Barrow, entered not guilty pleas to the charges.
Mr Michael Graham, defending Bell, made a bail application and the magistrates granted Bell bail with conditions.
The case was adjourned until Thursday April 20 at the Barrow court for a case management hearing.
