A MAN has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Barrow.

A 37-year-old man from Barrow was injured during the alleged attack on Rawlinson Street, Barrow, on November 7. He was allegedly stabbed in the face, chest and shoulder.

The incident happened close to the junction with Harrison Street at around 4.25pm.

He was later transferred to the Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.

John Jennings, 27, of Stamfordham Drive, Liverpool, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent, and being in possession of a bladed article.

He is due to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court this morning.
