A MAN has been charged after an alleged sexual assault at a Barrow nightclub.
Barrow detectives launched an investigation after an alleged sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman at Manhattans nightclub in Cavendish Street, in the early hours of Sunday. Police were called to the scene at around 4am.
Police said a sexual assault was reported to staff at the club in Cavendish Street and police were called to the scene a short time later at 4.10am.

Irfan Gilgil, of Tinsley Lane, Crawley in West Sussex, was charged with sexual assault and yesterday appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow. The 30-year-old was remanded in custody and will appear Preston Crown Court on October 14.
