Cavendish Street in Barrow
A MAN is due to appear in court after he was charged with an alleged sexual assault at a Barrow nightclub.
Barrow detectives launched an investigation after an alleged sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman at Manhattans nightclub in Cavendish Street, in the early hours of Sunday September 11.
Police were called to the scene at around 4am.
Irfan Gilgil, of Tinsley Lane, Crawley in West Sussex, was charged with sexual assault and later appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow.
The 30-year-old was remanded in custody and will appear Preston Crown Court tomorrow.
