A MAN is due in court accused of attacking a detention officer at Barrow police station.
Neil David Cole is listed to appear at Furness Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. The 55-year-old is charged with assaulting a designated person acting in the execution of his duty, an offence under the Police Reform Act 2002.
The offence is alleged to have happened at Barrow police station in Andrews Way on August 26 when Cole is said to have assaulted Mick Dudley, a detention officer.
