Long delays on M6 following serious accident
Motorists face heavy congestion on the M6 northbound near Lancaster after a serious accident earlier today on the northbound carriageway.
An air ambulance attended the scene as all three lanes were closed by police.
The southbound carriageway also closed for a short period so the air ambulance could land.
All lanes in both directions are now open but drivers face long delays.
