A MAN from Iraq has appeared in court after allegedly being caught with heroin and crack cocaine worth £15,000 at a property in Barrow.

Ari Salih appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court in Barrow today charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, after being stopped and searched by police in Barrow. The 31-year-old was allegedly found with drugs with a street value of £15,000.

Salih, who provided an address in Stockton-on-Tees to the court, gave no indication of plea. He was denied bail and remanded in custody until his next court appearance at Preston Crown Court on October 28.
