A SURVEY to find out what people think about the planned closure of a mental health unit has prompted more than 200 responses.
The questionnaire was set up to seek the views of residents across the area on the future of the Kentmere Ward - an inpatient unit for patients suffering an acute crisis.
Now, those in charge of providing mental health care across Cumbria are urging more people to have their say before the survey closes on Friday.

The 12-bed ward, based at Westmorland General Hospital, in Kendal, is run by the Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
But bosses announced the unit is facing closure because of safety concerns raised by the government watchdog the Care Quality Commission over its mixed-sex, dormitory-style accommodation.
However, a final decision on whether it is to remain open will now be taken by CPFT leaders at the end of the summer once all of the feedback provided by patients, staff and members of the public is assessed.
Dr Andrew Brittlebank, CPFT medical director, said: "What is clear is that the ward and especially the staff are highly valued by the community."
