HUGE amounts of rubbish were left littered along a road in Barrow town centre.
The litter was spotted last night at the bottom end of Dalton Road, outside Subway and Coral and down towards the end of the road where it meets Abbey Road.
It is not known where the rubbish originated from but a number of pedestrians commented on the disgusting state of the road and pavements which form part of Barrow town centre.
Abandoned and uncollected litter causes problems for a number of town centre residents because it can attract seagulls and vermin.

The Evening Mail is set to approach Barrow Borough Council and businesses along the stretch of the road for comment about the litter.
